Juice detox using  the fresh, raw juice of vegetables and fruits to nourish and replenish the body. Used as nutritional support during periods of stress and illness, juice detox can also be used as part of a comprehensive health maintenance plan.

        Juice detox follows a system of cleansing and restoration, and uses fresh juices to provide a nutritional foundation for the body’s curative processes. Fresh juices play an important role with virtually any regime to cleanse the body and restore vitality. With juice detox, nutrients are supplied in a concentrated, raw, and unprocessed form that is easy to consume and digest, making juice and ideal companion to fasting and health maintenance regimens.

Preparing for this fast includes abstaining from  alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, sugar, dairy, wheat, animal meat, fish, and eggs atleast 7 days before the detox. The diet should consist mainly of organic fruits, vegetables, and beans.

Between 32 and 64 ounces of juice is usually recommended per day. The juice is sipped throughout the day. Typical fruits and vegetables include celery, carrot, kale, cabbage, apple, pineapple, cranberry, spinach, beet, and greens. Citrus fruits are often avoided.

7 Day Juice fast or detox

7 Day Juice fast or detox:
The 7 day juice fast or detox was designed to support, detoxify, and strengthen the major organs of elimination in the body, including the liver, colon, kidneys, skin, and lungs.
Juice provides concentrated vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and other nutrients in an easily absorbed form.
The best fruits and vegetables to include are  celery, carrot, kale, cabbage, apple, pineapple, cranberry, spinach, beet, and greens. Avoid grapefruit wile doing this fast..

Juice fast or detox 
A 7 day juice fast or detox should only be done under the supervision of a qualified health professional. Please read the all instructions and warnings below before attempting this detox. 


  


During the 7 day juice fast or detox:
    * Day 1
      Apple and celery juice: Beneficial for Intestines, liver, kidneys.
      Use 1/2 apple juice and 1/2 celery juice.

    * Day 2
      Pineapple juice: Enzyme bromelain for the small intestine. Also specifically helpful for inflammation, allergies, arthritis, edema, and hemorrhoids. Add 1/2 cup juice to 1/2 cup water.

    * Day 3
      Lemon juice and water: Detoxify and cleanse the liver. Add the fresh juice of 1/2 lemon to each cup of water.

    * Day 4
      Carrot Juice: Liver, lungs, kidneys, eyes.

    * Day 5
      Beet carrot cabbage Juice: Removes toxins from the liver into the bloodstream. Also specifically helpful for arthritis and menstrual problems. Remember not to use more than a 1/4 of a beet when you juice.

    * Day 6
      Green Juices: Believed to cause an exchange of toxins across membranes resulting in the systematic flushing of toxins out of the body. Also specifically helpful for circulation, skin, digestive problems, obesity, bad breath. Green vegetables include watercress, broccoli, kale, collard greens, parsley, spinach, beet greens. Green juices have a very strong taste, so carrot juice can be added as needed to improve the taste.

    * Day 7
   Water: Cleanses the entire system.

Carefully read and follow the precautions. Drink these juices throughout the day. You are also encouraged to drink water on all days of the fast or detox to help remove toxins. Use Fresh, rather than frozen, canned or bottled juices because processing destroys many of the nutrients and enzymes in juice. Use organic fruit and vegetables.

Watermelon Detox Recipe:

Watermelon is great for detoxification. It acts as a diuretic and detoxifier.  The strawberries are rich in Vitamin C and the blackberries are a good source of folic acid.
  • 8 oz watermelon
  • 4 oz strawberries
  • 4 oz blackberries

Put all the ingredients in a juicer and serve cold. 

Veggie Detox
  • 3 carrots
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1/4 small beet
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp gingerroot chopped fine
Juice all the ingredients in the juicer. Add lemon juice and the veggie detox juice is ready to serve.

Detox Filler: 
  • 4 oz carrots
  • 4 oz apples
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 banana

Juice the carrots, apples and celery and then put the juice in a blender with the banana. This juice is very helpful because it satisfies any hunger cravings throughout the detox days. 

How to Break the fast or detox

Read and follow the instructions on how to break a fast or detox. Begin this protocol on day 8. Gradually introduce solid foods back into the diet to avoid adverse reactions.Your Sample Diet plan after the juice fast could include:  Having few peices of fruits, light steamed vegetables on the first day. The next day you could have some brown rice or bread and some salad, You could also have yogurt if you eat dairy products. It is recommended that you have meat and meat products only after the third day after breaking the fast. When introducing foods back into the diet choose foods that are easy to digest, do not overeat or binge, note any food reactions such as cravings or other symptoms.

Recent evidence suggests that pomegranate juice may also increase blood levels of prescription drugs. Do not attempt a 7 day juice detox on your first attempt at juice fasting. Any detox program for more than three days should be done under the advice of a qualified medical professional.
